We’re bridging divides to build trust and promote peaceful civic engagement across Pennsylvania. An initiative of The Carter Center, the Pennsylvania Alliance for Civic Trust (PACT) welcomes participants from across the political spectrum, from every corner of the state, and from every walk of life.
PACT welcomes community members and leaders who want to strengthen our democracy and share our commitment to three principles.
What We Stand For
- Committing to truth in our politics
- Engaging peacefully with our fellow Americans
- Supporting our electoral democracy
Individuals and organizations can participate in the network, encouraging public leaders to model peaceful, respectful civic engagement. Network members will:
- promote peaceful resolution of disputes and differences through constructive engagement
- share proactive messaging that promotes accurate information about our institutions
- counter acts of intimidation through dialogue, conflict-sensitive communication, and rapid response planning
